Dr Oliver has the standards of an 'old fashioned' Doctor ie he cares about his patients above all else. He works long hard hours and although he must be tired at times always greets you with gentleness and care, he treats all his patients as individuals and remembers your medical history and its relevance to a current visit even before looking at the computerised history. He is also an excellent diagnostician. He is a rare GP and I consider myself to be very lucky to have been his patient for the last 17 years

Having had the wonderfull Dr Oliver for 17yrs, the care & dedication he provides is outstanding always there to listen & tells you exactly what your problem is, by far the most popular Dr at the meads surgery & is never in a hurry to rush you out of the Door .The verybest Dr at the Meads.

Dr James Oliver has been a really great GP.He is kind considerate and really ges out of is way to help and support his patients.He really listens and never makes a patient feel they are wasting his time.He has given my family support over the years helped us through difficult health needs .It is so important when you are experiencing ill health that you are treated by someone that understands your medical history and background .Dr Oliver works tirelessly toward giving his patients the best possible care.

I have been a patient of Dr Oliver for 17 years. He is undoubtedly the best GP I have ever come across. Not once has he rushed me through an appointment, not once has he made me feel that my concerns/problems are stupid or trivial and he has always provided me with treatment above and beyond any other GP.

Dr Oliver is absolutely the best doctor you could find anywhere in the world. He is totally committed to providing the best possible patient care. His experience and medical knowledge is spot on and he succeeds where other doctors have failed. He is also a warm, gentle, caring human being with a fantastic bedside manner. He always has time for his patients and actually listens to what the patient says. He works incredibly hard and puts in many hours over and above the normal working day. He is by far the most popular doctor within the practice. He is also skilled in minor surgery and works at the local hospital once a week (for quite a time he worked there free of charge in order to keep a ward open) He also gave his time free whilst on a 3 month sabbatical in Jamaica to help set up a diabetic clinic This man should have an OBE at the very least. He is fantastic!
